The '''Stinson 108''' is a popular four-seat, single-engine, high-wing airplane built by the Stinson division of Consolidated Vultee from just after World War II, and then by Piper, until about 1950. Most were named the '''Voyager'''; some were sold as the '''Station Wagon''', with an interior set up for cargo. In all, about 5,260 were built.<ref name="wp"/> In the U.S. there are 1,245 with a valid registration.<ref name="faa"/>

== History ==
The 108 was developed from the prewar Model 10A Voyager (the "Stinson 105") as a stretched version and first built in 1946. Stinson built more than 5,000 before Piper bought the company in late 1948; Piper finished and sold the remaining airplanes as the Piper-Stinson.<ref name="wp"/>

== Design ==
It has four seats, fixed landing gear, a high wing and a fabric-covered steel-tube fuselage, normally with a six-cylinder Franklin engine of 150 or 165 hp and a fixed-pitch propeller.<ref name="wp"/> The 108-3, with its taller tail, is the most common on the U.S. register.<ref name="faa"/>

== Registered in the United States ==
The FAA register lists '''1,245''' of these airplanes with a valid U.S. registration. Here they are by the model name the FAA uses.<ref name="faa"/>
